When you are relocating to Seattle, you can count on my experience and empathy. I know from experience what it means to make a new home in an unfamiliar setting. I have lived and worked in four countries (ich spreche Deutsch) and within the United States in Chicago, Cleveland, New York City, North Carolina and now in the Seattle area. As a location settlement specialist, I have assisted global relocation companies. Putting myself in your shoes comes naturally.
From the Ocean to the Mountains…
One of my most pleasant tasks is to show off Seattle to my visiting friends and clients. Few cities in the United States offer such a variety of scenery and views. The mountain views are dominated in the east by big volcanic giants such as Mount Rainier and Mount Baker. In the west, one of the most popular lookouts is is Hurricane Ridge located near the Olympic National Park.
If you prefer water to mountains you have the choice of lakes and oceans. The Seattle fleet of ferries is part of the largest ferry system in the United States. For boating enthusiasts, the bodies of water surrounding and dissecting the Seattle area, make this a nautical paradise. Lake Washington separates Seattle into two parts – the city of Seattle and what is called the Eastside. West of Seattle is the Puget Sound which is defined as an isthmus.
Made in Seattle
One look at the map of the United States explains why the people of the Pacific Northwest had to be self-reliant. This explains why so many corporations were founded in Seattle. Take retail. Nordstrom started a a shoe store in 1901 before becoming a national icon of quality and service. Think aerospace and the first name that comes to mind is Boeing.
Today, the Seattle landscape blossoms with locally founded companies from A to Z, from Amazon to Zillow with Costco, Microsoft, REI, Starbucks and others in between. The growth of these companies explains why so many people are relocating to Seattle.
If you’re relocating to Seattle or from Seattle, send Gerhard Ade an email.
Relocating to Seattle, leaving Seattle? (Relocation goes both ways)“We would like the opportunity to commend the work of our Real Estate Broker, Mr. Gerhard Ade.
Working as a team with Mr. Ade, we were able to sell the home in a changing buyers market within only 30 days. Making a strong difference between our Internet presence and the competition was the experience and special skills Mr. Ade brought to the table. We got many comments about the presentation making our offer stand out. While we prepared our home for showings for prospective buyers, Gerhard’s customized Internet and local marketing attracted more clicks and views and visitors than competing homes, which, several months later, are still unsold.
With Gerhard’s experience with international customers we were aware of our options at any time. Once we had offers, Gerhard negotiated the best possible deal for us to sign papers before we departed for Europe. We have recommended Gerhard warmly to the German and Swiss Expat circles. “
