Relocating?
Your new employer has accepted your salary demands and they are giving you a generous sign-on bonus.
Excited about the prospect of a new job?
Often, the first contact I receive is from the spouse of the person expected to be relocated by the current or new employer. Also, because the prospect of moving to a new place is exciting, you may be tempted to contact me long before the new job is secured or the transfer assured.
What you should know before contacting me
- Your employer may outsource your move to a relocation management company
- Your relocation package may limit your choice of real estate agent
- You may be assigned an agent who does not speak your language
- You may not be losing any of your relocation benefits by choosing your own agent
Putting myself in your shoes comes natural.
You can count on my experience and empathy when you have to make a new home in an unfamiliar setting. I have lived and worked in four countries (ich spreche Deutsch) and within the United States in Chicago, Cleveland, New York City, North Carolina and now in the Seatle area.
If you still wonder why your employer wants to recoup some of their expenses by dictating who should help you find a home, give me a call at 425–891-8213 or fill out the form to the left.
And, check out the blog entries in the Relocation Road category to the right.
Moving elsewhere, leaving Seattle? (Relocation goes both ways)
“We would like the opportunity to commend the work of our Realtor, Mr. Gerhard Ade.Working as a team with Mr. Ade, we were able to sell the home in a changing buyers market within only 30 days. Making a strong difference between our Internet presence and the competition was the experience and special skills Mr. Ade brought to the table. We got many comments about the presentation making our offer stand out. While we prepared our home for showings for prospective buyers, Gerhard’s customized Internet and local marketing attracted more clicks and views and visitors than competing homes, which, several months later, are still unsold.
With Gerhard’s experience with international customers we were aware of our options at any time. Once we had offers, Gerhard negotiated the best possible deal for us to sign papers before we departed for Europe. We have recommended Gerhard warmly to the German and Swiss Expat circles. ”
