Every weekday morning, more than 75,000 Puget Sound residents commute to work or school on board a Washington State Ferry. The ferries also are the main means of transportation for vacationers.

Note: While the NWMLS classifies some municipalities as cities, some of these “cities” are more like neighborhoods. For example, the NWMLS still classifies Juanita as a city although it was annexed by the city of Kirkland in 2011.
